    ARRESTS

     

    BASSETERRE St. Kitts, January 27th, 2014  --  Steve Liburd of Freeman Village was formally arrested and charged for the offence of Assault, Threatening Language and Armed With An Offensive Weapon, which were committed on 23rd January 2014 at Conaree Cricket Grounds.
     
    Amos McIntosh of Newton Ground was formally arrested and charged for the offence of Wounding, which was committed on 24th January 2014.
     
    COURT CONVICTIONS
     
    District "A" Magistrate's Court
     
    Trevor Hector of Central Street was convicted for the offence of Larceny, which was committed on 8th November 2013 and sentenced to three (3) months in prison.
     
    Lezmorel Whattley of Upper Market Street and Gregory Seaton of College Street were convicted for the offences of Battery on Police, Obstruction and Escaping Lawful Custody, which were committed on 21st January 2013, and were both placed on suspended sentences of twelve (12) months in prison.

    District "B" Magistrate Court
     
    Shavin Carey of Tabernacle was convicted for the offence of Assault which was committed on 28th May 2013, and fined $500.00 which is to be paid by 7th February 2014 or in default will serve thirty (30) days in prison with hard labour.

    Traffic Accident Left One Person Transported To The Hospital

    The Traffic Department is investigating the circumstances by which a traffic accident occurred on 25tth January 2014 along Central Street resulting the driver being transported to the hospital for medical attention. 

    Initial investigations reveal that motor car  TA 84 owned and driven by Mr. Nathaniel Elliott of Kittstodat was travelling West along Central Street when he collided into two (2) parked vehicles.
