Team UNITY to Worship at Wesley Methodist Church on Sunday

    Basseterre, St. Kitts,  February 5th 2014 (Team UNITY Communications) - The leadership of Team Unity along with supporters and well-wishers will on Sunday 9th February worship at the Wesley Methodist Church, on Seaton Street, Basseterre, St Kitts. The Service will get started at 9am.

     

    Dr. the Hon Timothy Harris, Leader of Team Unity, Hon Shawn Richards Deputy Leader, Ian Patches Liburd Team Unity candidate for East Basseterre, will feature during the course of the Service.
     
    “Team Unity is mindful that we have to build our country on a Godly foundation. We have come together for the good of our country. We will put God first in everything we do” a spokesman said. Team Unity comprises three political Parties namely the People’s Labour Party (PLP), the Concerned Citizens Movement (CCM) and the Peoples Action Movement (PAM). The Parties have embarked on a historic journey to break the partisan political tribalism and to work in the best interest of the federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.
     
    Team Unity has already outlined a good governance and prosperity agenda. Some elements of the good governance agenda includes, term Limits for Prime Ministers, fixed election date, Information Act, Freedom of Access to state media by the opposition, and the Integrity in Public Life Act.  Some very attractive Tax Reforms have been announced; include the removal of VAT from food, medicine and funeral expenses.  Plans have been announced to provide free universal access to preschool education in St. Kitts and Nevis. 
     
    Dr the Hon Timothy Harris, M. P for St Christopher 7 is the Leader of Team Unity and the person endorsed to be the next Prime Minister by 6 of the 11 Members of Parliament.  Polls conducted by renowned pollster, Don Anderson, put Dr Harris as the most popular leader in the Federation.
     
    Team Unity was launched on 26 September 2013 at Greenlands Park with over seven (7000) persons in physical attendance and thousands more captivated by the historic moment carried on radio and internet. Since then Team Unity has been very active in its outreach.
     
    A series of public meetings, marches, press conferences, visits to manufacturing sector, visits to Churches have all formed part of the programme of this new political movement. In the recent past, Team Unity has visited the Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Bourryeau, the Bethel Moravian Church in Cayon and the New Testament Church of God on Central Street, Basseterre.
