Man wounded in afternoon robbery

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - A man was allegedly stabbed or chopped yesterday afternoon (Feb. 6) in the Lower Monkey Hill area.

     

    This publication received information shortly before 4:00 p.m. on that day indicating that a man was either chopped or stabbed on Millionaire Street, Lower Monkey Hill.

     

    Upon arrival at the scene, this media house observed members of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force, including members of the K9 Unit, conducting investigations.

     

    According to information gathered at the scene, the man was wounded by another and was reportedly transported to the hospital. This publication was also told that the assailant may have fled the scene following the incident.

     

    SKNVibes contacted Press and Public Relations Officer Inspector Lyndon David who informed that according to information he has received, the incident was actually a robbery and the victim was wounded in the process.

     

    He confirmed that the individual is identified as “Eustace” and that the incident transpired in vicinity of his home.

     

    Investigations into the matter are ongoing and an update would be provided as additional information becomes available.
