Traffic restrictions for new roundabout implemented

    BASSETERRE St. Kitts, February 10th, 2014  --  The Licensing Authority wishes to inform the general public of the following Traffic Restrictions and Diversions at the newly constructed round-a-bout in the vicinity of the ECCB and Kim Collins junction.

     

    They are as follows:

    • All vehicular traffic going and coming from Frigate Bay must keep left around the round-a-bout.

    • All vehicular traffic travelling from the R L B Airport to Basseterre, Frigate Bay and Bird Rock must keep left around the round-a-bout.

    • All vehicular traffic going to R L B Airport from Basseterre direction will keep left of the round-a-bout.

    • All vehicular traffic using the MUST GIVE WAY to the on the right in the round-a-bout.

    • Vehicular Traffic WILL NOT BE PERMITTED to pass RAMS Supermarket, Bird Rock EXCEPT if going to ECCB.

    • NO VEHICULAR TRAFFIC WILL BE PERMITTED to enter Frigate Bay Road from the Bird Rock junction

    • Vehicular traffic on Bird Rock road desirous of going to Frigate Bay can enter through Earl Morne’s via the road next to the Hobson Enterprise on the Bird Rock Road.

    • Vehicular traffic in the C. A. Paul Southwell Industrial Site area WILL BE PERMITTED to enter Frigate Bay Road via the road next to Caribbean Printers/ MOP’s garage.

    • NO RIGHT TURN WILL BE PERMITTED into the Bird Rock Road to traffic coming from Pond Road.  Traffic will continue to flow into the round-a-bout to go into Bird Rock.

    *The road that runs adjacent to the Caribbean Printer will be now open for two-way traffic.
