BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - THE young woman who was charged in relation to the stabbing death of a teenager, has escaped the reach of remand and has been granted bail.

Idalia Williams - 20 - who is said to be from Parray’s Village, was recently formally charged with the manslaughter of 19-year-old Kevon Gordon, who is said to have been her significant other.

The fatal incident transpired on Sunday (Feb. 9) at Parray’s Village where both - SKNVibes understands - were involved in a domestic dispute.

Gordon was rushed to the Joseph N. France General Hospital where he later lost the battle for his life.

Williams was taken into custody and the charge was preferred against her on Wednesday (Feb. 12), a police press release informed.

And SKNVibes has been reliably informed that sometime yesterday (Feb. 13), the accused appeared before the court and was granted bail in the amount of $50 000 with two sureties.

She would be required to appear before the court again in short time to answer her bail, and should she fail to do so, her sureties could be called upon to cough up the bail sum.
