    ARRESTS

     

    BASSETERRE St. Kitts, February 18th, 2014  --  Jerome Connor and Vernon Elliott of St Johnson Village were jointly formally arrested and charged for the offences of Inflicting Grievous Bodily Harm and Robbery which were allegedly committed on 6/2/2014 at Lower Monkey.
      
    A juvenile was formally arrested and charged for the offence of Larceny which was allegedly committed on 12/2/2014.

    A juvenile was formally arrested and charged for the offence of House Breaking and Larceny which was allegedly committed on 31/1/2014 at Farm's Estate.

    Rael Hendrickson of Bath Village was formally arrested and charged for the offence of Receiving which was allegedly committed between 31/1/14 and 11/2/14.

    HOUSE FIRE

    On 14/02/14 about 11:20 pm officers of the Fire and Rescue Services Department (STNFRSD) and the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) responded to a house fire at Miss Janet Alley, Irish Town.

    Upon arrival at the scene officers of the they met home of Amos Mc. Intosh and Anita Herbert were engulfed in flames, and the officers of the STNFRSD extinguished the fire. 

    The house was completely destroyed along with all of its contents. 

    The cause of fire is unknown.
      
    TRAFFIC ACCIDENT

    On 15/02/14 about 4:06 am officers of the Old Road Police Station and the St. Kitts and Nevis Fire and Rescue Services Department (STNFRSD), and Technicians of EMS responded to a report of a traffic accident at Old Road Bay which resulted in two (2) persons being transported to the hospital for medical attention. 

    The passenger and fiancée Melissa Vinetta Williams, 25years of Sandy Point and Kervin Sommersal-Richards had to be removed from the vehicle by ex-police officer Mr. Dale Huges with the aid of the "Jaws of Life".

    Initial investigation revealed that motor Jeep PA 3345 which was driven by 24 year old Kervin Sommersal-Richards of Sandy Point was travelling to Sandy Point when the incident occurred. 

    COURT CONVICTIONS

    District " A" Magistrate's Court

    Elsera Cuffy of College Housing was convicted for the offence of Driving Without Due Care and Attention, and fined $350.00 which is to be paid in fourteen (14) days or in default will serve fourteen (14) days in prison.

    District "B" Magistrate's Court

    Sheldon Augustus was convicted for the offence of Wounding and place on a bond for one year in default will pay $2000.00.

    Michael Phillip was convicted for the offence of Being Arm With An Offensive Weapon, and placed on a bond for one year, and in default, will pay $2000.00.

    POST MORTEM EXAMINATION 

    On 13/02/14 a post mortem examination was performed on the body of the late Kevon Gordon of Parray's Housing by Forensic Pathologist, Dr Stephen Jones, who concluded that death was due to a stab wound to the left side of the chest resulting in haemorrhage and shock.
