BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – AN international evangelical outreach programme - aimed at impacting communities and churches globally - will soon make its way to the Federation’s shores for the first Festival of Life Concert, scheduled for March 1.

According to Pastor Brandon Grayson of the Caribbean Christian Fellowship, the one-day Festival of Life event was started almost 30 years ago by Pastor Mike Macintosh who is the Senior Pastor of Horizon Christian Fellowship in San Diego, California.

Macintosh - in the 1960s - became involved with the Calvary Chapel Church. He went on to pastor Horizon Christian Fellowship, a Calvary Chapel affiliate, beginning in 1974. He is also the organizer of Festival of Life.

Grayson revealed to SKNVibes Entertainment, that at the event - which would stretch from 3:00 p.m. To 9:00 p.m. - everything will be free including food and refreshments, prepared by local persons. There will also be a concert headlined by international singers such as Roy Tosh and John David Webster and Dominic Balli.

The Pastor told this publication that he expect thousands to attend the first-time event.

“The week before the event, we have a total of 82 people coming from different churches across the United States and they will be doing a number of work projects such as going into the schools, putting up swings, painting a number of houses; and hopefully do some work on a lady’s roof that needs to be repaired,” the Pastor said.

On Tuesday (Fed 25) there is a pastors’ appreciation lunch that will be held at the Ocean Terrace Inn at noon, where all leaders are invited to attend.

And on Wednesday (Feb 26) they will also be a women’s conference where First Lady, Sandy Macintosh will be sharing and encouraging women. That conference is also free of charge and it commences at 7:00p.m.

The Pastor however, told SKNVibes Entertainment that the team is yet to confirmed about a visit to the Her Majesty Prison on Thursday (Feb 27), where a mini festival would be held with the artistes who are scheduled to perform at the March 1 event.

St Kitts and Nevis will be the first Caribbean country to have the event hosted. Bouncy Castles, Hot Wheels racing, cotton candy and face painting will be some of the attractions for children which can also be enjoyed free of charge. One lucky person will walk away with an iPad just for attending the event.
