BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – The reigning Mr. Cool 2013 20-year old Kadeen Tyson did the Federation of St. Christopher and Nevis proud yet again when last Friday (Feb 21), he outshone six other contenders to cop the coveted title of Mr. Caribbean 2014 in Dominica.

According to the Dominican Vibes, Tyson won three of the five segments at the Arawak House of Culture in Roseau.

“He won the awards for best in costume, best in swimwear and best in formal wear, while Godwin Charles of St. Vincent and the Grenadines placed first runner with and the best talent award,” the report stated.

Meanwhile, Ronnie Morris of Barbados won the Best Interview segment and the Second Runner-Up position.

The other competitors were Omari Gumbs of Anguilla, Yannick James of Dominica, Orvin February of Guyana and Kevin Basden of The Bahamas.

The participants - nominated by their cultural divisions, Ministries of Culture, carnival organizing committees, national associations and event directors - are between 18 and 35 years.

Tyson was crowned Mr. Kool 2013 last July, before an impressive audience at the Nevis Cultural Complex, securing a repeat win for a contestant from St. Kitts.
