Red dominates another school’s Sports Day

By: Loshaun Dixon, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - RED HOUSE athletes have once again dominated another school’s Sports Day as the athletes from the Dean Glasford displayed their skill and supremacy before the residents of the St. Peter’s and surrounding communities.

The Red House members spared nothing in displaying their superior athletic ability in the various track events to cop the school’s 2014 Champions.

Despite having some tough competition from the other houses Red Housers showed they had the better chemistry of athletes.

The standout performer for the day was Vanique Warner who totally outclassed her competitors in all the events in which she participated. Warner - who was representing the eventual champions - dominated the 800, 200, 100 and 200 metres, while also playing a significant role in her team’s triumph in the U-13 girls 4x100m, 4x400m and the relay medley.

The St. Peter's Playfield was packed and hundreds of parents were in attendance cheering for their children and encouraging them to give of their best.

The athletics coach of the Dean Glasford Primary School will now be turning his attention to preparing the institution’s top athletes for the RAMS Primary School Championships to be held later this month.
