BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE wait was finally over last night (Mar. 1) as the organisers from the Sandy Point’s SPIRIT revealed the six astonishing beauties for the Lime Miss Black San’ Swimsuit Pageant 2014.
The short ceremony - held at the beautiful Palm Court Gardens - saw the introduction of the six hopefuls: Unoma Allen, Nakilah Watson, Cherrissa Maynard out of Nevis, Desiree Herbert, Royisha Demming and Nicola Clarke.
According to Pageant Coordinator Treasa Wyatt, the competition - over the years - has grown significantly, adding that with the enormous amount of applicants this year, the committee was forced to select six girls, through an audition stage.
“Miss Black San’ is a show of substance and is definitely growing and we look at our past contestants where they are today especially the reigning Miss Culture, who was a contestant last year.” Wyatt said.
The coordinator took the time out to congratulate the reigning Lime Miss Black San, Patricia Clarke who - during her reign - captured the First Runner-Up spot in the Miss Venus competition in Anguilla last year.
“Clearly you can see our show has a good reputation and we have contestants who move on to do great things.” Wyatt said.
In addition, Marketing Representative of LIME, Kevin Edwards said the telecommunications provider was thankful to be a part of the annual event yet again.
"We are very happy to be on board and partner with the SPIRIT organization again this year.”
