Five to compete for Miss Back to Roots 2014 title

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE History Heritage Club of the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College (CFBC) will yet again host its annual Miss Back to Roots pageant slated for this evening (Mar 8).

     

    This five who are throwing their hats into the ring are: Natalee Rowe, Miss Nigerian; Louvina James, Miss Liberia; Ann Marie Ohena, Miss Sierra Leone; Lesana Liburd, Miss Ghana and Xiarriah Brown, Miss Gambia will compete for the title.

     

    According to Coordinator of the African-based Pageant, Sheila Morris, the competition has been in existent for 12 years and under it, a number of young ladies have been crowned who have advanced to promoting black heritage and culture.

     

    “It is something historical and the girls will have to do a lot of research as they will have the task to link there respected represented countries to any aspect of St. Kitts,” Morris said.

     

    The lucky five will be competing in the creative wear, introductory wear, and evening wear segments during the pageant.  

     

    There will be no interview segment this evening as that was done since last week.

     

    Tickets are sold at the school for $10 or persons who do not get a chance to purchase a ticket have the option of paying $15 at the gate upon arrival at the event.
