BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, FEBRUARY 19TH 2009 (CUOPM) – The Old Road Community Centre is the venue for the second in a series of Town Hall Meetings hosted by St. Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas.
Residents of Constituency # Four from Challengers to New Guinea, as well as interested persons in other communities are invited to the Town Hall Meeting which will be held at the Old Road Community Center on Monday 23rd February starting at 7:30 P.M.
Prime Minister Douglas, who will be accompanied by the Parliamentary Representative and Ministr of Health, Social and Community Development and Gender Affiars, Hon. Rupert Herbert, will discuss issues pertaining to the constituency and nationally.
Prime Minister Douglas and Minister Herbert are expected to make presentations and then field questions from persons in the audience.
The first in the current series of Town Hall Meetings was held last week at the St. Paul's Community Center.
Prime Minister Douglas' St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Government introduced Town Hall meetings as one of the avenues for getting the views and opinions of national in the decision making process and shaping of policies.
