Basseterre, St. Kitts (Tuesday 1st April, 2014) – The month of March saw Telecommunications trail-blazers Digicel St. Kitts and Nevis launching and executing a campaign to celebrate extraordinary individuals within the beautiful twin island Federation.
Patricia “Mary” Clarke was the final recipient in Digicel’s ‘Extraordinary People’ Promotion. She was nominated by a past resident of the St. Christopher Children’s Home for her selfless contribution with that local charitable institution and in recognition of her ongoing work for the Disabled in St. Kitts. She is also an avid volunteer in other areas of work within her community.
The Digicel SKNHappy Team laced with a red velvet cake, a giant cheque for $500, a DL700 Smartphone with $100 credit, balloons and other Digicel trinkets surprised Mary during one of her usual visits to the Digicel Flagship Store in The Circus, downtown Basseterre.
Mary was indeed surprised and exclaimed “Red is my favourite colour, thank you Digicel!” as she was handed her presents.
Mary rounds out the list of exemplary persons who received this honour from Digicel and included Carol Eddy, six year old visually impaired twins Kion and Kiondre and Nigel “Numpy” Williams all for being outstanding individuals.
Digicel St. Kitts and Nevis congratulates all the awardees and says a heartfelt thank you to the persons who nominated these deserving individuals and also to the Social Media fans who submitted other nominations during the specified period. Your participation helped to make this Digicel Promotion a major success. Extraordinary is to see obstacles as an opportunity – Be Extraordinary, Digicel.
