BASSETERRE, St. Kitts (April 7, 2014) - In a recent handover ceremony, the St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla National Bank Limited presented a cheque for $3,000.00 to Assistant Police Commissioner Ian Queeley along with members of the Police Sports Club Cricket Team.   The funds are to facilitate the travel to St. Lucia by the team for participation in the Regional Security T20 Cricket Tournament from April 15 to 22.  The squad comprises both current and retired police officers.

Presenting the cheque on behalf of the Bank was Sabina Vaughan.  Ms. Vaughan stated that the Bank was very pleased to make this contribution to the Police Sports Club.  “We recognize the tremendous responsibility that rests on your shoulders as you uphold the law and endeavour to make our Federation a safe place for all.  We understand the very stressful nature of your jobs as well as the need for ‘down time’.  We are delighted to be able to assist in this regard”.

Assistant Police Commissioner Ian Queeley, in accepting the cheque, said that the Police Force and in particular the Police Sports Club was extremely grateful to National for helping to facilitate the travel.  ACP Queeley went on to mention the significant contributions that the Bank has made over the years to sports and other disciplines in the Federation.  “National has always been an exemplary corporate citizen and we are extremely grateful to the Bank for its generosity” said ACP Queeley.

National Bank lauds the St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force and in particular the Police Sports Club for providing an outlet for officers to unwind.  The Bank believes that this is an essential component in helping them to effectively execute their duties.   National remains resolute in its commitment to fostering the holistic development of all sectors of our community.
