    ARRESTS

     

    BASSETERRE St. Kitts, April 8th, 2014  --  Hassan Evans of Pond's Estate Housing was formally arrested and charged for the offence of House Breaking and Larceny, which was committed on 2 April 2014. 

    Geron Walters of Ottley's Village was formally arrested and charged for the offence of House Breaking With Intent, which was committed on the 1 April 2014.  

    Occupants of Vehicles Escaped Traffic Accident Wreckage With Minor Injuries

    The Traffic Department is currently investigating a traffic accident which occurred on Sunday 6th April 2014 at around 4:25 am along the the Frigate Bay Rod in the vicinity of Earl Mourns, which resulted in two (2)motor cars extensively damaged, and their occupants received minor injuries. The occupants of the vehicle were transported to the hospital for medical attention and were discharged. 
     
    Initial investigation revealed that motor car P 7267 owned by Jailla Mangra of College Street, but, at the time was driven by Doodnauth Mangra of College Street Ghaut was travelling from Frigate Bay towards Basseterre and motor car P 7512 owned by Tara Persuad Dowlatram of West Bourne Ghaut and driven by Khrisna Dowlatram of West Bourn Street was travelling in the opposite direction. Motor car P 7512 overtook another vehicle when the accident occurred. 
     
    The Licensing Authority therefore takes this opportunity to encourage motorist to observe the Traffic laws, pay special attention to the condition of the road and drive responsibly.
