St.Kitts-Nevis National Basketball League Tips Off This Weekend

    Basketball City, St.Kitts (April 28th 2014):-The SKNABA St.Kitts-Nevis Amateur Basketball Association National Basketball League officially tips off this Sunday May 4th at Basketball City in Basseterre.

     

    THE long-awaited and exciting National League is scheduled to begin with an official ceremony a 4pm.
     
    Following the traditional opening ceremony which is expected to feature an impressive march past of some 30 plus teams from the Premier, A, Female and Junior Divisions, .
    According to the newly re-elected SKNABA Secretary-General, Wallis Wilkin, following the march past, there will be an exciting three exciting games featuring the Junior, “A” and Premier Divisions.
     
    The 3 BIG Opening Night Games include:
    1.       Gm 1- J-League All Star -Rural vs Urban
    2.       Gm 2- St Pauls Tuff Knots Vs Fig Tree Revellers ( “A” Division)
    3.       Gm 3 – Defending Champions Challengers Exodus vs 8 time Champions Horsfords Ghetto Roots

    The Opening Night will also include special halftime shows featuring Mr Hype, Vybz Challenger and and other well known local artistes.

    The 2014 league has again seen an increased number of teams registering compared to the past seasons.
     
    Over 30 teams were said to have registered for the new league with an increase in the “A” division with some 15 plus teams . The J-league saw an increase with ten teams including a team from Nevis for the first time.
