St Kitts (30th April 2014). The Ocean Terrace Inn is proud to recognize Mavis Simmonds as our Employee of the Year 2013. Mavis Simmonds has been employed at the Ocean Terrace Inn in the Housekeeping Department for just over one year.
As a relatively new employee Mavis has proved to be one of OTI’s most valuable staff members with her important role in the Landry at the hotel. Indeed, once you’ve visited the hotel you will have noticed that the table linens in our restaurants and the bed and bath linens in our guest bedrooms have been laundered to our highest standards and are professionally pressed and folded, and Mavis helps ensure the hotel always has quality, clean and pressed linens and towels on hand at all times.
Mavis is known by her team spirit, her reliability, her good attendance record and her willingness to assist wherever or whenever needed.
The OTI Employee of the Year was selected from the Employees of the Quarter, which included Eldora Burleigh (January-March 2013), Jennifer Norford (April-June 2013), Amoy Nisbett (July-September 2013) and Mavis Simmonds (October-December 2013). The Employee of the Year Award was presented to Mavis Simmonds by Mr. Earle Kelly, Chairman of TDC at the Ocean Terrace Inn’s Employees Long Service Awards Celebration, held at the Fisherman’s Wharf Restaurant on 27th April, 2014.
