St. Thomas U.S.V.I. - Police on St. Thomas are asking the community to step forward with any information they might have in connection with the shooting death of two persons on Wednesday, February 25 at about 1:28 a.m. in the Double Play bar and restaurant on lower Kronprinsens Gade.

According to preliminary information police were called to the shooting and found two Hispanic males gunshot victims inside the establishment. Emergency Medical Technicians called to the scene pronounced the victims dead. The bodies appeared to have both been shot at least once in the head, however the autopsy performed by the medical examiner will determine the exact number of gunshots and the cause of death for both individuals, said Chief of Police Rodney F. Querrard Sr. Police have not released the names of the victims pending the notification of next of kin.

“I am asking for witnesses to step forward with any information about this shooting,” Chief Querrard said Wednesday. “This shooting appears to have happened in full view of several patrons at the restaurant. Someone must step forward and say what happened.”

SKNVibes was told that it was an alleged murder suicide as both men were involved in a love triangle.

Anyone with information can call the Major Crime Unit at 715-5545, 715-5543, the Chief’s office at 715-5548, emergency 911 or Crime Stoppers USVI at 1-800-222-TIPS
