Basseterre, St. Kitts (May 2, 2014) – Mother’s Day is a time when mothers around the world are honoured for being the great individuals that they are. Digicel is joining in on the celebration of moms with a grand 4G Smartphone sale to benefit young mothers.

With the purchase of any one of the above handsets, Digicel will make a donation from the sale of every phone to the Government-lead, Project Viola.
Project Viola is a programme within the Ministry of Gender Affairs who aid with helping teenage moms go back to school. They also assist with helping the young moms find jobs, equipping them with tools for the business world and assist with daycare of the babies while the mothers are out during the day.
Digicel is pleased to embark on such a partnership to not only help young moms but also to be able to add to their journey as they aim to better their lives.
In response to the partnership with Project Voila, the Minister of Health, Social and Community Development, Culture and Gender Affairs, Hon. Marcella Liburd remarked, “This is a project that has been in existence for over ten years. As Mother’s Day approaches, we definitely would like to see our teenaged moms getting all the help they can get with their education and nurturing skills. Digicel’s Mother’s Day Campaign ends on May 31, 2014 or while handset stocks last. A percentage of each qualifying handset purchased during the promotional month will go toward Project Viola.
