BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - PLANS which were underway to have her flown overseas for medical attention were brought to a halt when Nigella Browne (also known as Nigella David) - the young lady who was involved in the May 4 traffic accident which claimed the life of another - lost the battle for her life.
Nigella - SKNVibes understands - was aboard a vehicle driven by Alec ‘Mega’ Browne in Nevis, when difficulty was encountered and a collision occurred.
The engine and steering wheel were ripped from the vehicle and the Police Force's Public Relations Officer - Inspector Lyndon David - explained that both Alec and Nigella were taken to the Alexandra Hospital in Nevis.
While Alec was pronounced dead there, Nigella continued to fight for her life and SKNVibes understands that she was subsequently transported to the Joseph N. France General Hospital in St. Kitts.
Sometime after 1:00 this afternoon (May 6), a plea for help was posted via a popular social medium for people to lend financial assistance in having her transported overseas for further treatment.
“To ALL that my voice can reach... Nigella David survived the tragic car crash on Sunday Night in Nevis, but she is critically ill and has to be flown overseas TODAY. I'm appealing to all who can assist financially to please do so, cash must be in her parents' hand to give to the treating hospital on arrival before any life saving procedures can be done... Please, let's all try to help save this life!”
Unfortunately, Nigella - who is believed to be in her late teenage years - did not survive the afternoon.
