Condor Turns Up The Heat In West Basseterre!

Sam Condor Addresses Audience
By: Team UNITY, Press Release (TUCOM)

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, May 10th   2014 (TUCOM)  --  On Thursday night, May 8, 2014, Team Unity representatives continued their Listening Tour series of Townhall Meetings at  at the St.Johnston Village Community Centre in West Basseterre.

Hon. Sam Condor, Veteran Politician, Former Deputy Prime Minister and Constituency representative for the area, rendered knock out punches to critics who dared to deem him irrelevant in the upcoming elections. Condor  gave an inspiring and brilliant presentation which set a new standard for the next round of Team UNITY Listening Tour meetings and a new standard for Townhall Meetings in the federation moving forward.

Those in attendance and listening via the live stream have since been offering their positive feedback via social media and other media including broadcast and print. The later than scheduled start allowed for more constituents to arrive and for the speakers to get last minute information ready for their highly anticipated presentations. The young dynamic popular Businessman Samal Duggins of Constituency 3 ably chaired the night’s proceedings.

The speakers proved to be in rare form and did not miss a beat, but it was Condor’s fiery presentation and declaration of his unshakeable faith in God that resonated with constituents, guests in attendance and listeners via radio and the Internet.

Condor was brimmed with confidence and conviction. He conveyed his vision for the residents of his constituency and effortlessly defended his un-matched tenure as parliamentary representative for the area. Condor spoke to his valiant stewardship over the years, taking on grave challenges always with the interest of the people at heart and with a view to transform the constituency for the benefit of his constituents first and foremost and for the citizens of the federation by extension.

Condor was animated and even humorous at times but his keenly listening audience clearly appreciated the candor with which he spoke. The stage was his on Thursday night.

While Condor highlighted several issues during his presentation, he touched heavily on the fact that not one, not two but up to eight of the Labour candidates in the 2000 election, himself included, had dire concerns about the autocratic style of Denzil Douglas’ leadership. He spoke to the fact that he was ready to resign after just one term of service but his love for the Labour Party and more importantly the people he served was essentially the pull factor that kept him buttressed in the party.

Condor insists he stayed because he did not want to rock the boat, however, he recognized overtime that the leader was continuing to change the core values of the party which went against the grain of his (Condor's ) beliefs. This eventually came to a head in 2012 with the addition of senators to parliament to carry out the dastardly deeds of an increasingly failing leader.

Condor had some stiff words for his opponent, Konris Maynard. He mentioned the fact that although Konris is not yet the elected representative for the area, he is getting the support of the government merely to make Condor seem ineffective. He spoke to the fact that the current Attorney General Mr. Jason Hamilton was a better choice for representing the people of Constituency 3 as Hamilton has a greater connection to the people of the Village than Mr. Maynard does.  However, he did not wane in his fervor or his conviction that he made the best decision to part ways with the Denzil Douglas Labour Party to form the People‘s Labour Party, which he believes ascribes to a belief system most in line with that of the great Labour Party founded some 80 years ago.

The point has been made that Konris Maynard will continue the policies of the illegitimate Prime Minister Dr. Denzil Douglas. These policies have resulted in St.Kitts-Nevis  having  to experience an unprecedented VAT Tax, poverty, Crime , Public Debt and the loss of huge chunks of our land due to gross mismanagement and corruption by Dr. Douglas and his associates.

Hon. Sam Condor as a part of Team UNITY will bring unprecedented and well deserved Prosperity to All regardless of affiliation or association .

The audience response was telling of the unwavering support and love that many still hold for the long serving parliamentarian. It was clear that Hon. Sam Condor remains the beloved and well supported individual that he has always been. The audience was resolute and clear that their support for Sam Condor, Team UNITY and a better St.,Kitts-Nevis is paramount.
