Wednesday, May 21- The Department of Education is informing parents, teachers and students of the public schools that the Professional Development Day set for May 22 has been postponed.

Therefore, there will be school tomorrow for all primary and secondary students.

The initiative is postponed in an effort to ensure pertinent logistics are in place in order to maximise the day’s objectives which will be beneficial to teachers and subsequently to students and their future educational growth.

The department apologises for this inconvenience and looks forward to offering this professional development and skill-building workshop in the near future.

The department remains committed to upgrading our teachers professionally to further enhance their skills and prepare them for the upcoming school year and beyond as we endeavour to “Create a Culture of Excellence”.
