BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - A stabbing incident that occurred during the early afternoon hours yesterday (May 24) has left a number of casualties in its wake and led to a multiple-vehicle traffic accident.
Unconfirmed reports which reached this publication suggest that a group of men were in Fig Tree, Sandy Point engaging in a reportedly “friendly conversation” which deteriorated when words - which were not pleasing to a party(ies) - were uttered.
SKNVibes understands that the incident resulted in a number of individuals being stabbed, and further unconfirmed reports suggest that self-defence may have been a factor in this incident.
An individual who was in vicinity when the stabbing occurred reportedly attempted to transport the victims to the Pogson Hospital with his vehicle, but while en route it was involved in an accident.
SKNVibes understands that three vehicles were involved in that accident. However, information about the extent of damage to the vehicles or whether or not anyone suffered injuries is yet unknown by this publication.
This publication made contact with the Press and Public Relations Officer attached to the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force, Inspector Lyndon David - who confirmed that both the stabbing incident and the traffic accident took place but was unable to provide any further information at that time, save to indicate that three individuals were stabbed.
He however promised to disseminate further information when given to him.
