BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - A young woman and a young man are in police custody in connection with an incident involving drugs and gun(s) that were reportedly found at their home.
Although detailed information about the incident is not yet readily available, Deputy Commissioner of Police Stafford Liburd confirmed to SKNVibes that the two individuals were taken into custody today (May 29).
He confirmed that the female is a resident of Bird Rock.
“Police are carrying out inquiries that involve a matter that involved a resident of Bird Rock area.”
Unconfirmed reports reaching SKNVibes suggest that drugs and firearm(s) were taken into police custody but the Deputy Commissioner said he could have only confirmed the former.
With regards to the type of drugs however, the Deputy said he could not pronounce on that.
Investigations are ongoing.
