Thursday, June 5, 2014 (All day) -- Ms. Sylvia Moses, Director of the International Affairs Secretariat within the Office of the Premier, has been assigned to act as Executive Director of the BVI International Finance Centre (IFC) until such time as a substantive appointment can be made.
The BVI IFC was established in 2002 as part of the Government’s commitment to support the financial services industry. The IFC is charged with promoting the Territory's financial services sector.
The department also strives to foster a cohesive working relationship between the private sector, the regulatory authority and the Government. Additionally, the IFC provides assistance and advice to those seeking to utilise the facilities of the BVI for legitimate financial services activities.
Ms. Moses will be managing the office in the absence of the substantive director, Ms. Elise Donovan who is on assignment with the BVI Hong Kong Office as its Director.
