BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – SIX breathtaking swimsuit-ready beauties were on Friday (Jun. 6) revealed at the launch of the Third Annual White Sands Swimsuit Competition, dubbed ‘Vegas Edition’, at the Carambola Beach Club, situated at South Friars Bay in the Southeast Peninsula.

The White Sands event was launched in 2012 as the ultimate after party experience of the St. Kitts Music Festival hosted by the Carambola Beach Club. And since then, the party has grown into a vibrant and exuberating experience for thousands of patrons.

Dressed in their chic white dresses the delegates who will be vying for this year’s title were introduced as Patricia Clarke, Malicia Francis, Roslyn Berkley, Jackiema Flemming, Kanesia Byron and Delonne Walters.

Speaking at the launch, Minister of Tourism Hon. Richard Skerritt said that he was delighted for his Ministry to once again endorse the White Sands event.

“Carambola has taken liming to a new level…so it is a pleasure to be here to congratulate Carambola and their team who will be helping to host this event for the third consecutive year,” Skerritt said.

The Minister added that since his involvement with Music Festival over the past 10 years, he has seen the need for the business community to be more commercially involved in the annual event.

He told the audience that in the earlier years of hosting the St. Kitts Music Festival, the annual event was held over four nights but it has been reduced to three, with additional activities such as the Carambola White Sands, among others.

“A few years ago, we shrunk the actual concepts from four nights to three nights. We then set about promoting a separate Sunday event and they are others. The Carambola White Sands event really took that experience to another level,” Skerritt said.
