BASSTERRE, St. Kitts - KITTITIAN athlete Kim Collins continues to show he deserves his place among the world’s best sprinters following his fourth place finish yesterday (Jun. 11) in the 100m at the Bislett Games in Oslo, Norway.

Trinidad and Tobago's Richard Thompson won the event in 10.02 seconds ahead of Frenchman Jimmy Vicaut and Britain's Adam Gemili. However, former World Champion Collins was fourth in a time of 10.13 seconds after he was edged on the line by Gemili.

In recent days, the Federation’s top athlete has been flying around the world to compete in a number of athletic meets.

Winging out a few days ago from his adopted Jamaican home, Collins  had competed in a number of countries including China, Italy and, most recently, Morocco, where he won the 100M at the IAAF World Challenge Meet.

According to the IAAF website, Jamaica’s Novlene Williams-Mills and Kaliese Spencer extended their current winning streak to three apiece at the games with victory in the Women’s 400m and 400m Hurdles respectively.

Allyson Felix strode home in the Women’s 200m in a modest 22.73 but looked more like her old self as she pulled gracefully away from the field down the home straight, the website reports.
