BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - REPORTS reaching SKNVibes indicate that Patrick 'South' Weekes is undergoing emergency surgery, having been shot sometime this evening (Jun. 14) while in the Bird Rock area.
According to unconfirmed reports, the incident occurred sometime after 9:00 p.m. in the Harbour View area.
SKNVibes understands that Weekes was reversing his vehicle into a yard when he was fired upon.
He was reportedly transported to the Joseph N. France General Hospital, where he is being treated for gunshot injury(ies).
Public Relations Officer attached to the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force Inspector Lyndon David confirmed that a shooting occurred in the Bird Rock area and that Weekes was the victim.
He said any further information would be divulged as it becomes available and that investigations are currently being made.
