Police Officers Received Information On New Crime Fighting Tool - Capers
BASSETERRE St. Kitts, June 17th, 2014 -- On Wednesday 11 June 2014 senior representatives of The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force, St. Kitts and Nevis Defence Force, Her Majesty's Customs and Excise Department, Inland Revenue, Ministry of Homeland Security and The Government IT Department attended a workshop at the St. Kitts Marriott and Beach Resort, which was conducted and facilitated by representatives Capers.
Capers World Wide is based in St. Croix, which is sister company to Caper ALLC located in Illinois, just south of Chicago. Intelligence Solution which is IT firm was established in 1990, and software was developed fifteen (15) years ago and was first implemented fourteen (14) years ago. Capers is a software that allows agency to dispatch all its personnel, maintain accurate records and be able to report back on all aspects for public safety. The main component of CAPERS is that it facilitates in information sharing across agencies in a very secure way.
The facilitators and presenters were Doug Jones the Caribbean Law Enforcement Consultant, Reed Konnerth President and CEO, and Sebastian Abbinanti, CCNA, CEH the Chief Information Security Officer of CAPERS. They informed the gathering that the goal for them to be working with the Caribbean is to make sure that island nations, especially because they are broken up over multiple islands, have the ability to allow public safety services to run regardless of any kind of situation that may occur.
They pointed out that St. Kitts and Nevis are two island separated by water, and if any issue occurred on St. Kitts, currently Nevis doesn't have the ability to jump in and start dispatching public safety records and public safety services. But however, CAPERS on both island will provide the ability to cooperate like one central land mass basically.
The purpose of the presentation was to inform and educate the gathering of the software, and encourage purchase of the product. The information provided was well received and gather the interest of the persons present.
