Ian “Patches” Liburd and PAM East Basseterre hosts hugely supported Annual FATHERS DAY Luncheon

Press Release

BASSETERRE, St Kitts, Friday 20th 2014 - The elegant and picturesque setting of Marshalls was again the venue for the annual fathers day luncheon of the East Basseterre constituency group of PAM.

The supporters of the occasion have grown accustomed to an event of class, good fellowship and inspiring and motivating messages. They were not disappointed.

The air of great expectation commenced with Mrs. Cynthia Morton invoking God’s presence and guidance; offering prayers for the fathers of the Nation.

Timely, as this led to the politically laced wit of the master of ceremonies Criss “Moonlight” Roberts who kept the patrons in a festive mood.
Two significant events highlighted the occasion.

First was the well-received riveting presentation by the guest speaker Mr. Mervin Hanley of the CCM. It was a message on lessons of fatherhood and a message of the importance of fathers in Nation building and molding the lives of young men. His message also focused on maintaining the strong bond of unity between St. Kitts and Nevis. A message that would be remembered for a long time.

Second was the awarding of East Basseterre’s father of the year Mr. Vincent Liburd of Bird Rock. This was in recognition of his contribution to family life, his community and to our political party. It was a reward well-deserved.

This event kept under the auspices of East Basseterre’s candidate Mr. Ian “Patches” Liburd was graced with the presence of Team Unity Leader Dr. Timothy Harris; Former Deputy Prime Minister Hon Sam Condor; former Speaker of Parliament Hon. Ivan Buchanan; former Finance Minister Mr. Richard Caines; and Deputy Leader of PAM Hon Eugene Hamilton.

The proud sounds of King Socrates “Cool Runnings” band and renditions by guest artists Devon “Pepper-Ranks” Rouse, added the musical touch that kept everyone entertained while consuming the delicious meal prepared by Marshalls.

East Basseterre constituency group should be commended again for the successful hosting of this function as we look forward to many more successful events in the years to come.
