Jury to begin hearing evidence in murder case tomorrow

By: Court Reporter, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - TOMORROW (Jun. 24), a 12-member jury panel will begin hearing evidence in the murder case against Erastus ‘Dog’ Laville.

The jury panel was selected this morning (Jun. 23).

Laville is said to have murdered Wendell 'Dog' Wilkinson of Cardin Avenue, an act he allegedly committed on the morning of July 8, 2011.

It is alleged that Laville shot Wilkinson in the vicinity of a shop in Union Street and the victim succumbed to his injuries while undergoing emergency medical treatment at the JNF General Hospital.

Laville was however tried once before for Wilkinson's murder in 2013 but the matter ended in a hung jury and the case was traversed.

If this matter ends in a second hung jury, Laville will be freed.
