ECCB Governor Reports on the Bank’s Performance and the Strategies to Strengthen the ECCU Financial System

    June 25th, 2014  --  The Governor of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB), the Honourable Sir K Dwight Venner, will report on the work the Bank undertook, during the financial year ended 31 March 2014, to strengthen the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union (ECCU) financial system and promote the growth and development of its member countries  when he delivers the Bank’s 2013/2014 Annual Report Presentation on 26 June. 

     

    In his report, the Governor will provide an assessment of the challenges that continue to confront the ECCB member countries and identify the strategies and activities the Bank executed to address the structural defects in the ECCU in order to ensure the continued stability of the EC Dollar and the financial system. 

    The Governor will also highlight the projects and programmes the Bank implemented and facilitated to transform the private sector to assist its member governments with fiscal and debt management.

    The ECCB’s 2013/2014 Annual Report Presentation will be broadcast on [list stations on which the presentation will be aired] at 8:00 p.m. The presentation will also be available on the Bank’s website in text, audio and video formats.
