BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - IN just a couple of weeks, 56 promising students of the Beach Allen Primary School would be ending one chapter of their educational journey and commencing another.

The transition of 27 boys and 29 girls would be officially marked with a traditional graduation ceremony which, according to Principal of the school Emilita Warner-Paul, would take place at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9 at the Zion Moravian Church.

The event - Warner Paul divulged - would be held under the theme “Your Future is Up to You”.

Scores of parents, guardians, other family members and friends are expected to attend the ceremony in support of their little students. And as part of the event, the graduands would be participating in and be treated to a number of special presentations in arts.

Warner-Paul said renditions of song, dance and drumming are expected to be on the programme.

The future high school students are expected to be uniformly attired in their royal blue gown and caps, each fitted with a royal blue and white tassel.

The students who would have performed the best in the various Test of Standard subjects would receive monetary awards.

At the time of the interview, the Principal however said that she could not indicate who those students are as the Test of Standard results have not yet been received.

The Most Outstanding Male and Most Outstanding Student from East Basseterre are among the other award categories.

In 2012, 87 students graduated from the Beach Allen Primary School; the largest group to have done so in the history of that learning institution.
