Roadtown, Tortola - After appropriate clearance, Police are now able to circulate a wanted poster of the suspect shooter in the Sunday morning’s homicide.
Police are still searching for Keon Edwards, a 32-year-old black male, who resides in Josiah’s Bay. He is 5’7”, weighs about 150 pounds, is well-built, and is originally from St. Vincent.
Acting Superintendent Alwin James says because of the circumstances surrounding the homicide, the matter of releasing the photograph had to be handled very delicately. “We were advised that such actions could seriously compromise the case,” he said
Monroe Thomas Jr., 28 years, of Meyers, was fatally wounded around 3:10am on Sunday on steps leading to Club Diplomat Bar in Long Bush. Thomas was not believed to be part of any altercation prior to the shooting. Police recovered four casings at incident.
Police are asking any member of the public who come in contact with Keon Edwards to call the Road Town Police Station at 494-3822 or the nearest police station. Anyone with information about Edwards’ wherebouts can also call the police confidential hotline 1-800-744-8477.
