BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE popular alcoholic beverage, Carib Beer, bottled and distributed by Carib Brewery St. Kitts Limited, continues to make a statement on the market place as it has retained its share of the market for alcoholic beverages.
Speaking last evening (Jun. 29) with Carib Brewery Sales and Marketing Manager Junior D’Abreau at the Carambola's White Sands event, of which his company was one of the main sponsors, he told SKNVibes Business that since the product’s inception it has always been holding its own and has controlled the market place over the past five years.
Addressing the reception of products produced by Carib Brewery, he noted that they are all appreciated by both distributors and consumers.
“It is at a very acceptable level. I’m happy with what I am seeing. I’m happy that the distributors and, by extension, the customers are happy to work with the Brewery to take the business to the next level…both theirs and ours. And we will continue to support them as long as it is a win-win situation for both parties,” D’Abreau explained.
The Marketing Manager noted that Carib Beer has been around for over 50 years and the Brewery has a number of other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages that also hold their end of the market place against other brands.
“We have a significant market share for our beverages. The intention is basically to grow and continue to grow and try to eliminate the competition from coming into this market and eroding our market share for the products.”
The company currently distributes Skol, Ting, Guinness, among other products.
Carib Brewery was established within the Federation in 1960 and is currently the leading manufacturer of alcoholic beverages.
