ARRESTS
Based on information gathered during a long investigation involving a series of break-ins detectives of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) executed a search warrant on the premises of Terisha Hughes Irishtown Bay Road, and a number of computer Tablets and expensive cellphones were found and seized, and taken into police custody. She was formally arrested and charged for the offence Receiving, which was committed between 3 February and 20 June 2014.
Rueben Govia an adult of Molyneaux was formally arrested and charged for the offences of Threat to Kill and Battery, which were were committed on 26 June 2014 at Molyneaux.
Ishmael Farrell of Cole Hill was formally arrested and charged for the offences of Possession of Cannabis and Cultivation of Cannabis, which were committed at Cole Hill on 27 June 2014.
Three (3) juveniles and two (2) adults were formally arrested and charged for Harbouring Juveniles at their premises
TRAFFIC ACCIDENT RESULTED IN FOUR (4) PERSONS TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL
Cotton Ground Police Station is investigating a traffic accident which occurred along the Island Main Road in the vicinity of Alice Swanston residence involving Motor about 1:35 PM on Saturday 28 June 2014 which resulted in four (4) persons being transported to the hospital.
Initial investigation revealed that motor jeep RA 330 owned by Wasim Richards and driven by Stetson Blake of Stoney Grove were involved in a single vehicle traffic accident, which ran in to a wall fence.
TRAFFIC ACCIDENT RESULTED IN ONE (1) PERSON TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL
The Traffic Department on Nevis is investigating a traffic accident which occurred along the Island Main Road at Church Ground on Thursday 26 June 2014 about 7:45 PM which resulted in one (1) person being transported to the hospital.
Initial investigation revealed that motor jeep P4807 owned by Bernard Browne Sr and driven by Bernard Browne Jr, and motor car P7008 owned and driven by McPherson Forbes of Cole Hill were involved in the traffic accident, and McPherson Forbes was transported to the hospital.
COURT CONVICTION
DISTRICT "A" MAGISTRATE'S COURT
Michael Prentice of New Road Housing was convicted for the offence of Possession of Cannabis which was committed on 27 March 2013 at New Road Housing, and fined $1500.00 which is to be paid by 4 July 2014, or, in default will serve one (1) one month in prison.
