BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - THERE is a new chicken joint in town and its name is Chester's Chicken.

After months of preparation, the new food sensation finally opened its doors to the public last Thursday evening (Jun. 26) at the Caribbean Cinema Complex in Buckley’s.

The new establishment opened just in time for summer and is ready to cater to the taste buds of all chicken lovers with foods that promise to be "fresh, fried and flavoured".

With a wide variety of chicken strips and pieces, chicken wraps, sandwiches and salads, the restaurant offers everything chicken with options of combos, meals and snacks complete with freshly sliced wedges and accompanying dips and sauces.

Chester's has been the buzz of the town since it opened its doors, with hundreds flocking the Caribbean Cinema's outlet to sample the many delights it has to offer.

The restaurant has been receiving rave reviews with patrons highly commending its outstanding decor, great customer service and flavour-filled foods.

The business is already being deemed a success, raking in some 150 customers on its first night.

At the official opening ceremony last Thursday, Prime Minister the Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil Douglas congratulated Shervin White, the man who brought this new venture to the shores of the twin-island Federation.

He wished the White Corporation, Inc. "every success as you put in place yet another brick in this wall of business ventures that you long ago set out to build for yourself".

PM Douglas informed that Chester's Chicken would be patronising the local farmers, as all vegetables used by the establishment would be purchased locally.

Also congratulating White was Constituency Three Parliamentary Representative Hon. Sam Condor, who thanked White for bringing a new cuisine to not only his Constituents but also to the people of St. Kitts.

He encouraged the Chester's Chicken owner to continue moving forward in the business arena and wished him the very best in his future endeavours.

White, in thanking everyone who spoke words of encouragement, including SKIPA's Chief Executive Officer Ambassador Rosalyn Hazelle and Caribbean Cinema's General Manager Bernard Maynard, stated that this new venture would not have been possible without their support.

He also promised to continue what he started - bringing great business to the Federation.

White revealed his intentions to have a second Chester's Chicken location in Basseterre and a third in Nevis in the near future.

Chester's Chicken was first established in 1952 by W.O. Giles. Today, it has more than 2 000 locations around the world.
