    St. Croix, USVI - Victim Robbed and Shot Police on St. Croix responded Robbery First Degree Friday, March 6, at about 1:33 a.m. The 47-year-old victim told police he was in the area of Consumer Gas Station, on Queen Mary Highway near Estate Grove Place when three masked men approached him, struck him and shot him. The suspects then put the victim in the trunk of his own car and drove him to Estate Peter’s rest where they released him and he called the police.

    The victim was treated at the Juan F. Luis Hospital for three non-fatal gunshot wounds apparently made by a small caliber weapon, according to police. He was shot in the stomach and grazed on his head.
    The case is being investigated by the Criminal Investigation detectives.

     

    Stolen Car Later Found Burned
    Police on St. Croix are investigating a Robbery First Degree that occurred at about 9:45 p.m. near the Altona Lagoon in Christiansted. The 43-year-old victim told police he and a friend were approached by four armed masked individuals who demanded his money and car keys. The suspects also assaulted the victim by punching him. 

    The victim gave the suspect his wallet, cell phone and keys to his Ford Focus. The suspects fled in the victim’s vehicle. The suspects were all wearing black clothing and appeared to be Hispanic, according to the victim. The victim refused medical treatment for an injury to his finger and a laceration to his head.

    About four hours later Investigation Bureau detectives located the vehicle however it had been burned. The case is still under investigation.
