Local Entrepreneurs Shine in AVON President's Recognition Event

Press Release

July 4th, 2014   --   In a setting created to mimic a Hollywood red carpet event replete with feather shawls and masks, the stars of AVON were twinkling at the St. Kitts Marriott on Saturday night. It was the annual President's Recognition Gala Event where top sellers in St. Kitts & Nevis of the 128 year old company are exclusively recognised for their selling prowess.

Called first to the podium to accept her plaque was 'First Time Achiever', Roxanne Thompson. She was to return three more times before the night was ended to collect for the "Spirit of Avon Award" and was also one of the President's Club members of St. Kitts & Nevis for 2014. A President's Club winner is expected to achieve and exceed sales of US$10,100 annually.

A perennial member of the President's Club, Alice Herbert, was presented with a statuette in the Sales Leader Recognition segment as a Unit Leader. She also received The Recruiting Excellence Award, for having recruited six persons during the period.

The recognition event was interspersed with dinner and raffles where the stars of the evening won valuable prizes from appliances to picnic bags. The annual event is also famous for providing a sneak preview of several new items which are exclusively available to President Club members often at significantly discounted prices, and this year was no exception.

Aside from the announcement of those Sales Representatives who made into the Presidents' Club, there were also other interesting categories where the representative vied for prizes and bragging rights. Take the Sales Increase District Achievers where the top performers in this District - 1218 are singled out for awards. This year's winners were named as Alice Herbert, Curt Benjamin and Roxanne Thompson, in third, second and first place respectively.

AVON District Manager, Adriana Alvarez, wooed the top achievers to aim for the 2014 President's Recognition Programme where the main prize is a trip to Hollywood. The entry into this league requires sales of $30,000 or greater. "This may sound unachievable on the surface but with St. Kitts & Nevis outshining many of its bigger counterparts who are part of this District, I would not rule out anything," said the confident District Sales Representative.

The evening wound down with photo opportunities and upbeat music befitting of the celebration of stars.
