July 18th, 2014  --  The only youth team sailing regatta in the Caribbean that brings together young people between the ages of 9 and 18 for a weekend of fellowship and competition is well on its way.

The annual Premier’s Cup Youth Sailing Regatta event is organized by KATS -"Kids and the Sea" which started in 1990 to promote safety around the water for local youth, will be held at Nanny Cay on July 19 & 20th.

As part of the activities the public is invited to a welcome reception at Nanny Cay, hosted by the Premier and concludes with an awards ceremony on Sunday July 20, 2014.  Racing begins at 10 am on Saturday and continues on Sunday from 10 am -1 pm.

This year's event hosts teams from USA who are here in the BVI on summer camp with Sail Caribbean, Anguilla, Antigua and Cayman as well as two teams from the BVI.

The public is invited to come watch sailing on a VIP boat that has been donated by Moorings.  You'll find the boat at the dock near Peg Legs.  For more information call John Lewis, 541-8581 or Dixon 544-4700.
