    St. Croix, USVI - Police on St. Croix responded to a case of an injured person at about 3:15 a.m. Saturday, March 7 in the area of the Caribbean Melting Pot Night Club in Hannah’s Rest, Frederiksted.  

    Police traveled to the area; however the victim was already in route to the Juan F. Luis Hospital by private vehicle. According to the initial report police attempted to interview the 30-year-old victim at the hospital, however he was incoherent and unable to speak to police. Hospital officials said the sustained a gunshot to his right thigh which exited his buttocks.  

    The case is being followed up by the Criminal Investigation Bureau. Anyone with information on these or other crimes are asked to call the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 712-6041 or 712-6037 or Crime Stoppers USVI at 1-800-222-TIPS

     


    Victim Tells Police He Was Knocked Out, Cash Taken
    Police on St. Croix are investigating a Robbery First Degree reported to them by a citizen. The victim told police that on Thursday, March 5 at about 10 p.m. he was returning to his car after purchasing food from a business on Market Street in Frederiksted.
     
    He said an unknown male struck him on the left side of his face with an unknown object. The victim said he the blow knocked him out and came to at about 7 a.m. on Friday, March 6.
     
    He discovered that his keys and about $1,000 was missing. The victim reported the robbery to police at about 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, March 7. The injuries to the victim’s face were photographed by Investigation Detectives. The case will be followed up by the Criminal Investigation Bureau.

     

    Motorist Fired Upon
    Police on St. Thomas are investigating an Assault First Degree that occurred on Friday, March 6 minutes before  8 a.m. in the Cassi Hill area of St. Thomas. 

    According to the police report  the victim was driving his vehicle when he heard several shots and his window and his left passenger door was struck by gunfire. The victim said he had no idea who fired the shots or from which area the shots came from.
    The case is being followed up by the Criminal Investigation Bureau.

     

     
    Man Shot in Hand During Attempted Robbery
    Police on St. Croix are investigating an Attempted Robbery in the First Degree that occurred on Sunday, March 8 at about 7:25 p.m.
    According to the preliminary report the victim was walking in the Estate Diamond area when a black Dodge Neon with tinted windows pulled up beside him and the driver got out and approached him. 

    The suspect said “What you have on you?” and attempted to put his hand in the victim’s pocket and the victim resisted. The suspect shot the victim in his left hand and the bullet also struck the side of his abdomen. 

    The suspect then got back in his car and drove off. After the encounter the victim walked to the Juan F. Luis Hospital for treatment. The suspect is described as dressed in all black with a black mask over his face.
