Connecticut: The annual Merritone Family Funday, the largest Caribbean Family Funday in the USA will not to be held for 2014.
“A great deal of careful and at times, agonizing thought went into whether or not to produce our event this year,” event promoter/organizer, Conroy Allison disclosed.
“We’ve staged the Family Fun Day for sixteen consecutive years with much success, but recent issues with our venue (Lake Quassy, Connecticut), remain unresolved. This could compromise the quality of our product. Our biggest commitment is to the thousands of loyal friends and supporters who have come to expect the absolute best” he said.
News that the Merritone Family Fun Day will not be staged this year has left thousands of loyal supporters extremely disappointed. However Alison was quick to point out that the event will be back next year.
“I promise our supporters we will be coming back bigger and much better next year. On behalf of Winston 'Merritone' Blake, Monte Blake and myself, we wish to thanks you for your loyal support over the years and look forward to see you at the 17th Merritone Family Fun Day in 2015” he said.
