Basseterre, St.Kitts (Youth of UNITY) -- Nevis Island Administration Junior Minister the Hon. Hazel Brandy-Williams is expected to lead a delegation of young people to this Saturday’s historic Y.O.U Youth of Unity Convention to be held at the OOJJ’s Conference Center at 1pm.
“We are certainly pleased to have the Junior Minister in the NIA Hon. Hazel Brandy-Williams be present at this historic convention.
Her mere presence will certainly be a source of inspiration to the youths in attendance as Hon. Brandy-Williams is no doubt a most endearing role model for our nation’s youth,” said a Convention organizer.
Hon. Brandy-Williams is the Junior Minister responsible Youth Affairs in addition to Gender and Social Affairs, Social Development, Sports Affairs, Community Affairs, Import and Export Control and Licensing Unit.
Since being sworn into office on Saturday, 26th January, 2013 Brandy-Williams has made significant strides and improvements in the development of youth on the island of Nevis. Hon. Hazel’s astute leadership has resulted in the establishment of a Nevis Youth Council as well as the Nevis National Sports Council. The establishment of Physo/Athletic Division demonstrates Hon Hazel’s understanding of the potential of Sports and Athletics in nation-building. The Creative Youth Academy in conjunction with Operation Future has also been extremely fruitful.
Brandy-Williams is expected to give brief remarks at the convention and bring greetings from the sister isle.
