BASSETERRE, St.Kitts (September 3rd 2014):-Last Saturday 30th August, over 100 children of East Basseterre were recipients of well-needed school supplies, thanks to Team Unity Candidate Ian "Patches" Liburd .
Patches is a well-known radio personality and social activist who formerly served the country with distinction as a Senior Civil Servant and Permanent Secretary. Liburd personally delivered the school supplies to scores of grateful young children in his constituency. The supplies included exercise books, geometry sets, back packs, pens, pencils, erasers, sharpeners, folders, folder leaves, crayons among other items.
Over fifty families in East Basseterre directly benefited from the kind generosity and thoughtfulness of the PAM Candidate Liburd and the Team Unity.
The Popular Candidate has declared that upon being elected as the next Parliamentary Representative for the Area he will give immediate instructions to the Treasury to allocate half his salary to a scholarship fund for schools in East Basseterre. Only one other Parliamentary Representative has ever made such a commitment in local and maybe even regional politics.
The Back To School Back-Pack of Supplies project is one that he intends to maintain ,enhance and expand when elected.
