By: Loshaun Dixon, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – WITH day one of the Caribbean Football Union’s (CFU) Caribbean Cup Group Six resulting in two goalless games, the action continues at Warner Park this afternoon (Sept. 5) with St. Lucia taking on Guyana and home team St. Kitts-Nevis doing on-field battle with Dominica. SKNVibes will provide updates as the games progress, from beginning to most recent.

10:27p.m. - Final whilstle! Commanding performance from SKN. From minute one, Dominicans were on the back foot and never recovered. FInal score, SKN 5 - Dominica nil.

10:19p.m. - Goal! 5-0. Substitute Josh Leader caps off a brilliant move by the home side just minutes after coming on.

10:12p.m. - Goal! Out of no where, SKN gets a fourth from Zeph Thomas, who found some space on the left edge of the box and slams the ball past the goalkeeper. Thomas then punches the air in delight.

10:00p.m. -Quiet period in the game...the homeside enjoying long spells of possession, some almost 20 touches at a time.

9:46p.m. - Better second half thus far for the Dominicans who have looked a bit more composed on both sides of the field.

9:40p.m. - Second half about to start. This second 45 minutes could only get better for the Dominicans attacking North. The homeside on the other hand will want to build on their 3-goal advantage.

9:24p.m. - Halftime. It has been a stroll for SKN, since kick-off it has been one way traffic. SKN could have have at least five goals this half but the fans will be buzzing after such a brilliant performance. Scoring opened in the second minute through an own goal. Romaine Sawyer then doubled the advantage in the 19th minute. Atiba Harris later found the score sheet in the 27th minute.

9:09p.m. - Chance! Difficult chance falling to Harris who got in behind the defense but the chip was wide.

9:01p.m. - Goal! 3-0. Atiba Harris scores from the top of the box after Orlando Mitcham drags the goalkeeper off his line and Harris picks his spot and slots it home.

9:00p.m. - Chance! Sawyer found an open in the box but puts the ball in the stands, crossing came from Errol O'loughlin from the left.

8:59p.m. - Team St. Kitts and Nevis in complete control here. The Dominicans appear out of it already. The high pressing game by the homeside seems too much for Dominica. But it is still anyone's game.

8:53p.m - Penalty to the homeside! SKN pressure forces the Dominicans into a silly position. Romaine Sawyer steps up and squeezes the ball past the Dominican goalie who guessed right.

8:47p.m. -  Saved! Romaine Sawyer has a chance at the top of the box, ball saved by goalkeeper Prince as the homeside is in complete control.

8:38p.m. -  GOAL!! Great start to the game for the homevteam. Jason St Juste breaks away down the left, fires in a cross and the defender turns it past his own goalie.

8:35p.m. - Kick-off... St. Kitts attacking the north in red while Dominica in green heads south.

8:10p.m. - Crowd has grown considerably 20 mins before kick-off and the iron band in full swing. Both teams have cleared the field.

7:45p.m. - St. Kitts-Nevis and Dominica are on the field doing their routine warm-ups ahead of the 8:30 KICK-OFF.

    COACHES RESPONSE:

The St. Lucian coach stated his team played brilliantly and showed how football is played. He ssaid he could not disclose changes now but will name them ahead of final game. Team Guyana's coach said they had a simple game plan which was to play the game in the simplest form. He was disappointed that the team's chances to score were not pounced on.

7:27p.m. - Final Whistle! A goal in each half by the St. Lucians was enough to seal victory. The Guyanese however had their moments to control this game but the physicality of the St. Lucians was too much for them. Three points for St. Lucia as they move to the top of the group with four points. We wait for the coaches comments.

7:17p.m. - Goal! St. Lucian tactics work counter attacking play. Jamal Joseph slid past the Guyanese defenders and hammered the ball past the goalie to give the St. Lucians a 2-0 lead with six minutes remaining.

7:13p.m. - Chance for Guyana! A bit of miscommunication with St. Lucia's goalkeeper and defender; defender left the ball for the goalie to collect but he left his line late and was beaten to the ball by Fraser whose shot trickled inches wide.

7:10p.m. - Guyana continue to make regular runs forward but not threatening at all.

7:02p.m. - Sting now out of the tail of the Guyanese as St. Lucia looks comfortable and are doing a good job of keeping possession.

6:56p.m. - Guyana pressing for the tying goal but are frustrated by obvious defensive tactics.

6:43p.m. - Guyana still probing for an equalizer but scrappy passing by them is getting the St. Lucian defense out jail.

6:37p.m. - Just about to start the second half. Both teams back out on the field. Leaders St. Lucia heading north, Guyanese attack the Carnival Village side.

6:22p.m. - Half-time. St. Lucia lead through a Burton Emanuel header but Guyana played well late in the half but failed to make chances pay.

6:20p.m. - Free-kick by Guyana gives the St. Lucians a scare but they failed to convert the chance.

6:15p.m. - Quiet period as halftime approaches.Guyana having the better of the possession but lacks the potency in the final third to punish the St. Lucians.

6:03p.m. - Half chance for Guyana's persistance from Delroy Fraser but his final shot goes into the side netting

5:55p.m. - A bit of pressure here from the Guyanese. They have to chase the game now.

5:49p.m. - Goal! St. Lucia scores from an Emanuel header who rose above everybody and gave his team the lead. This is the first goal for the group.

5:47p.m. - Francis of St. Lucia forces a save from the Guyanese goalie who does brilliantly to keep it level

5:43p.m. - Chance for St. Lucia but shot squandered by the striker.

5:35p.m. - Kick-off! Here at Warner Park, St. Lucia in yellow kits heading North while the Guyanese in their green kits attack towards the south.
