UPDATE: SKN trump Guyana 2-0

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - WITH home team St. Kitts-Nevis and team St. Lucia tied with four points each and both Guyana and Dominica trailing with one point each, all teams are back at Warner Park for the last day of the CFU Caribbean Cup Group Six matches. Dominica will take on St. Lucia in the first match and St. Kitts-Nevis will come up against Guyana during the final match of this round. Updates – as the games progress – would be provided from beginning to most-recent.

     

    Final whistle...2-0 to home team. SKN tops the group with 7 points but has a better goal difference. The home side scored seven goals in the three games and conceded 0. At the end of the match, Team SKN went around to every section of the crowd and showed appreciation for the three nights of support. SKN will now move on to Round 2 while St. Lucia heads to Trinidad and Tobago.

     

    10:00p.m. - "Mexican wave" going here in the crowd as SKN continue to dominate. 

     

    9:55p.m. - Goal! Atiba Harris adds another for SKN. Jason St. Juste finds some space on the left and picks out Harris who clinically finishes and sends he crowd into raptures.

     

    9:47p.m. - What a goal! Zeph Thomas scores a screamer from 35 yards, slams the ball past the goalkeeper.

     

    9:36p.m. -Second half about to commence. SKN heading south. Guyana heading the other direction.

     

    9:24p.m. - Half-time. After a bright start the Guyanese was placed under tremendous pressure coming close to the end of the half.

     

    9:21p.m. - Chance! A free-kick from Devaughn Elliott strikes the post. Goalie was left flatfooted...stood no chance.

     

    9:10p.m. - SKN finding their feet with a spell of dominance.

     

    9:08p.m. - Half chance to SKN but Zeph Thomas heads the ball into the crowd.

     

    9:00p.m. - Chance! To the homeside... a corner was poorly defended by Guyana and the loose ball pounced upon by a homeside player but was blocked. Many thought it was a certain goal.

     

    8:50p.m. - Midfield battle... So far, niether of the goalkeepers has had any work to do.

     

    8:46p.m. - Guyana with the brighter start but some silly mistakes leading to the easing of the pressure on the SKN defense.

     

    8:35p.m. -Golden Jaguars of Guyana get the game underway heading south while team St. Kitts-Nevis heads towards Carnival Village in red. Biggest crowd so far of the tournament.

     

    7:45p.m. - Teams SKN and GUY out for warm-ups. Huge crowd on hand at Warner Park ahead of 8:30p.m. kick-off.

     

    7:27p.m. - Final whistle! 2-1 to St. Lucia. They are now assured of qualification with six points. Dominica on the other hand bounced back well following the eembarrassment in the last game.

     

    7:09p.m. - Goal! Valcin again scores. Assist goes to Gabriel who sped up the right flank and fired in across and the ball beats all the Dominican defenders and finds Valcin on the far post who brilliantly finishes. 

     

    7:01p.m. - Goal! Against the run of play, Dominica finds an equalizer. Julian Wade heads a ball backwards to score a brilliant goal.

     

    6:59p.m. - Felix again in the thick of things. He dribbled his way into the box and has a quick shot but is denied by Glenison Prince.

     

    6:56p.m. - Felix of St. Lucia has a chance to score but over dribbles the ball into the box where he was met by Dominican defenders.

    6:38p.m. - Second Half begins with some showers with Dominica heading North now, while the St. Lucians are heading south towards Lozac Road.

     

    6:23p.m. - Halftime in a fairly quiet half outside of the 13th-minute goal. Dominica however, still has a chance to advance from the group, but will have to give thier best performance of the tournament so far.

     

    6:13p.m. - Quiet period here before halftime. St. Lucia looks the better team...still they had many half chances.

     

    6:01p.m. - St. Lucia looking like the better side. Their ply seems to hit the Dominicans on the counter attack.

     

    5:48p.m. - Goal! St. Lucia scores Malcolm Valcin with a clinical finish. Felix found some space on the left and had his shot saved and the rebound fell to Valcin who made no mistake.

     

    5:47p.m. - A physical encounter here in the early minutes of the game, but no chances as yet.

     

    5:35p.m. - Kick-off here at Warner park. St. Lucia in thierry blue kits attacking the North while Dominica will be heading south in white.
