St. Croix, USVI - Police on St. Thomas are investigating the circumstances surrounding the non-fatal shooting of two victims in Estate Contant on Tuesday March 10.
According to the preliminary report, at about 11 p.m. Tuesday police were dispatched to the Roy Lester Schneider Regional Medical Center and interviewed a 21-year-old and a 24-year-old gunshot victim.
The victims said they were walking in Estate Contant, when they heard several gunshots and started to run. They took cover behind a parked vehicle and noticed that one was shot in the bottom of his right foot and the other was shot in his lower left leg. They were transported to the hospital by private vehicle.
The victims told police they did not know who shot them or why anyone would want to shoot them. No descriptions of the suspects were given to police, according to the preliminary report.
Police on St. Croix are investigating the non-fatal shooting of a 16-year-old minor that happened at about 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 10 in the Walter I.M. Hodge housing community.
According to the preliminary report the minor and a family member came to the Police Administration Building in Hannah’s Rest requesting to be taken to the Juan F. Luis Hospital. The report further stated the minor got into an argument with another minor and was shot with a small caliber weapon in the lower chest.
