By: Terresa McCall, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE body of a man was discovered over at the South East Peninsula late last evening (Sept. 15) and investigations into his death are being made.

SKNVibes made contact with the Public Relations Officer attached to the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) – Inspector Lyndon David – who confirmed that a body was found in that area.

He said the man has been identified as Dwight Tyrell of St. Johnston’s Village. SKNVibes understands that his alias is ‘Nibs’.

He explained that a report was made sometime yesterday (Sept. 15) that Tyrell and a friend went over to the Turtle Beach area to dive. And sometime later, it was discovered that Tyrell was missing.

The Inspector said a search was made by the RSCNPF and the St. Kitts-Nevis Coast Guard and the body was discovered along the shoreline. He said the discovery was made at about 10:00p.m.

He informed that an autopsy would be performed to determine the cause of Tyrell’s death.

    Investigations are continuing.
