Series Of Meetings Scheduled In Fight Against Chikungunya

    Friday, September 19, 2014 -The Ministry of Health and Social Development and the BVI Health Services Authority have scheduled another series of meetings as they continue to appeal for community participation in the fight to reduce the impact of Chikungunya and Dengue Fever in the Territory.  

     

    Community meetings will be held at the Abraham Leonard Community Centre in Carrot Bay on Tuesday September 23rd at 7:30 p.m., and on Jost Van Dyke at the Primary School on Wednesday September 24th, at 7:00 p.m. Meetings will also be held at the West End Community Centre on Tuesday September 30th at 7:30 p.m and the Valerie O. Thomas Community Centre in Sea Cow’s Bay on October 2 at 7:30 p.m.

    Residents of Capoon’s Bay, Apple Bay and Long Bay are invited to attend the Carrot Bay meeting, while residents of Zion Hill, Fresh Water Pond, Towers, Frenchman's Cay, and Belmont are invited to attend the meeting at West End.

    At least one representative per household is encouraged to attend these community meetings.
