BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force has released the names of three individuals whom they are seeking in connection with the murder of Kaheel Herbert.
In a recently-issued press release, the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police informed that the persons of interest in the case are Jahzya Roy Wilkerson of Shadwell, Inelbo Ibo Hendrickson of Malone Avenue and Gavin White of Buckley’s Site.
Wilkerson is 23 years old, is 5’10” tall, has black hair, is brown in complexion and has brown eyes. Hendrickson, 27, was born in St. Thomas, USVI, if 6’ tall, is dark in complexion, has black hair and brown eyes. Twenty-two year old Whyte is also 6’ tall, is dark in complexion with brown eyes and black hair.
The communique indicated that these three are considered persons of interest and are “wanted for questioning by the police in the shooting death of 19 year old Kaheel Herbert formally of Lower Thibou Evenue…
“Anyone with any information about (their) whereabouts (are) ask(ed) to contact the Violent Crime Unit at 467-1886/1887/1888, or the nearest police station, or, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477. Remember you(r) information will (be) treated with confidence and you may be eligible to receive a reward…”
The police have warned that “Anyone who harbours or helps (them) in any way to evade the police commits an offence and will be arrested and charged.”
Herbert lost his life on Tuesday, September 23, 2014.
He was reportedly at the Hospital in the Accident and Emergency Department on Monday (Sept. 22) when two gunmen entered and fired shots at him. He was struck multiple times and was rushed into emergency surgery.
Sometime after the surgery, he succumbed to his injuries.
